Let’s meet Lilian de Geus, RS:X Women sailor from the Netherlands. How does she look back on all her Regatta’s in Medemblik and what are her expectations for this years’ Regatta?

“I’ve been competing in RS:X since 2009, we missed a few Regatta’s, so I think I’ve competed in Medemblik about 6 times. My first memories about this Regatta where mostly cold and windy, but mostly so good to have a World Cup in your own country. And a lot of times the weather was nice!”

“The Medemblik Regatta is more a practice event for me, it’s a lot of fun to race here. Friends and family are able to come and watch me race. It’s also a well organized event every year again, so I’m really looking forward to this even which I use to prepare for the World Championship in Aarhus. And the youth sailor in RS:X will be competing in this years’ event as well, this means we will have a large field of RS:X 8.5 sailors!”
