MEDEMBLIK – The 33rd edition of the Delta Lloyd Regatta has been a great success. The top sailors in Medemblik were all very excited about the international event.

,,The organisation was perfect”, Yannick Lefebvre said after the decisive race in the 49er. The Belgian sailor finished in fourth place with Tom Pelsmaekers. ,,The communication to the sailors was very good. There’s always a lot of respect from the organizers to the sailors. It’s my eighth time in Medemblik. And I still love it.”

Megan Pascoe, who won the 2.4mR with ten victories on a row, is a regular guest at the Delta Lloyd Regatta. ,,I love this regatta. I’ve been here a lot and the organisation is always good. I would like to come back”, the British sailor said after the races.

Sophie Ainsworth, 49erFX, visited the international regatta last year for the first time. The weather was completely different compared to year. ,,It was so cold last year, I didn’t like it. But I changed my mind. The conditions and the organization were great this year. I would love to come again.”

Jordy Halapiry, managing director of organizer PRISM, was very satisfied on Saturday. ,,We’ve had a great regatta, with nice conditions and good battles. We’ll be back from 22 till 26 May next year.”
